Thanks to Global Genes we have been able to provide some new translations to benefit the PWS community in Arabic-speaking regions.
The International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organisation (IPWSO) is a recipient of the 2022 Health Equity in RARE Patient Impact Grant sponsored by Global Genes. Thanks to this award, IPWSO’s project entitled Developing educational resources on Prader-Willi syndrome for Arabic, Mandarin and Turkish speakers, is made possible.
We have used this grant to translate our Consensus Documents into Arabic and Turkish. These important documents were developed by IPWSO’s Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board and provide an overview of the most common and serious medical issues affecting people with PWS and a structure for the medical evaluation of their needs.
We have also used this grant to translate key informational films about PWS made at our recent conference into Arabic and Mandarin. These films are presented by international experts and provide key information on issues affecting people with PWS.
We hope these translations will help many more professionals and families to provide the best care for people with PWS. Please help us to share this information by forwarding these links on to people in your network.
