Caregivers’ Conference 2027

Global support for PWS: Caring for today, shaping tomorrow.

Planning is now underway for the 7th International PWS Caregivers’ Conference, a cornerstone event in the IPWSO calendar. Over three intensive days, this conference will bring together professional caregivers, support staff, and PWS association leaders from around the world to share expertise, exchange practice-driven knowledge, and shape the future of PWS care.

Caregivers are at the heart of health and well-being for people living with PWS. This event ensures they have access not only to the most up-to-date practices, but also to a rich environment for collaboration, where real-world experience and professional insight come together to drive innovation in care.

Where caregivers shape change

The Caregivers’ Conference is more than a training event, it is a global platform for advancing standards of care. Participants will explore the latest thinking and practical approaches on topics that directly impact the lives of those with PWS, including:

  • Emerging research and the future of PWS support
  • Balancing autonomy, individual rights, and duty of care
  • Building relationships and fostering independence
  • New diagnostic tools and behaviour management strategies
  • The role of therapies across the lifespan
  • The challenges of ageing with PWS
  • The potential of technology in care provision

Through lectures, workshops, and interactive discussions, caregivers will not only gain new skills but also actively contribute to shaping better, more responsive models of care worldwide.
