We are delighted to welcome Margaret Walker as she joins us today as our new CEO. Margaret is a committed association management and public affairs professional with over 20 years’ experience in the field. She has worked with scientific, medical, family and patient associations at European and international levels. Most recently Margaret was Executive Director at the European Psychiatric Association (EPA).
Margaret has a Postgraduate Certificate in Humanities, a BA (Hons) in Humanities, as well as a Diploma in Gender and Development. She is a Fellow of the UK’s Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and is co-chair of the European Society of Association Executives’ Leadership Circle.
We are fortunate that Marguerite Hughes has kindly agreed to remain in post until the end of February to ensure a smooth handover; indeed, Marguerite will continue to support us through to the delivery of our International Conference.
We very much look forward to working with Margaret in order to build on the solid foundations that Marguerite has helped us put in place, and to achieving even greater success in the years ahead.
