Call for abstracts

If you are involved in the professional support of young people, adults, and older individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) whether in a direct caregiving role or in a managerial or leadership position, we invite you to share your vision, successes, challenges, and experiences with delegates at the 7th International PWS Caregivers’ Conference, 28–30 June 2027 in Cambridge, UK.

We also welcome contributions from other professionals and experts in the field whose knowledge and experience can enrich understanding and practice in PWS care.

Please ensure you follow these guidelines.

Desired themes include, but are not limited to, the following key priorities in residential care for people with PWS, which will shape the conference programme. While other relevant topics may be considered, contributions should align with these themes where possible:

1. Understanding behaviour
2. Communication and relationships
3. Day-to-day living and support practices
4. Workforce challenges in PWS care
5. Rights, inclusion and quality of life
6. Current research in PWS
7. International perspectives on residential care
8. Environment, design and technology

Submissions may include:

• Case studies
• Approaches and procedures that have proven effective in practice
• Contributions from different professional disciplines
• Suggested areas for further development or research
• Academic research related to PWS and residential care
