Currently our organisation has 81 member and associate member countries, representing well over 25,000 families. Being a member provides many advantages such as the opportunity to be part of a worldwide network of information and support. Every three years we hold our international PWS conference, hosted by different countries, where professionals, scientists and researchers are given opportunities for a universal exchange of research, experiences and ideas.  Spreading awareness so children  and adults with PWS can have a brighter future is a major goal of IPWSO. Our educational packages (General Awareness, Crisis, and Medical Awareness) cover a wide range of essential topics, and are distributed throughout the world in many languages. Education promotes the possibility for early diagnosis and early interventions in medical and behavioural management.
